What time zones do you accommodate for Zoom sessions?
IMADRI accommodates clients in any time zone worldwide. When you submit a booking request, please include your preferred date and time along with your time zone. We will confirm a mutually convenient time within 24 hours. Sessions are regularly scheduled across US Eastern, European, African, Middle Eastern, and Asia-Pacific time zones.
Do I need to install any software to join a Zoom session?
No installation is required. You can join any IMADRI Zoom session directly from your web browser on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. A secure Zoom link and password are sent to all parties with the booking confirmation email. We recommend testing your audio and video connection a few minutes before the session begins.
Are virtual mediation sessions confidential?
Yes. All IMADRI Zoom sessions are conducted in private, password-protected rooms with waiting room controls enabled. No session is recorded without the explicit written consent of all parties. Virtual sessions carry the same confidentiality protections as in-person sessions under applicable mediation confidentiality standards and any applicable mediation agreement signed by the parties.
Are Zoom-based mediation sessions legally recognized?
Yes. Mediation agreements and settlements reached via Zoom are legally binding in the same way as those reached in person, provided the parties sign a written mediation agreement and any resulting settlement agreement. IMADRI uses the same structured process for virtual and in-person sessions. We recommend that parties consult their own legal counsel regarding enforceability in their specific jurisdiction.
Can some parties attend in person while others join via Zoom?
Yes. Hybrid sessions — where one or more parties attend at a physical location while others join via Zoom — are available upon request. This format is particularly useful for international disputes where travel is impractical for some parties. Please indicate your preference in the booking form notes field and we will coordinate the logistics.
